Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Brilliant.10/10 for me.

Anthropophagus,a classic video nasty (back then it was) with the lousiest acting and script ever commited to film yet it has real atmosphere,it has that certain something which i love.I cannot put my finger on it considering the awful acting involved but i just love it.And including the infamous fetus eating. Not for everyone.

Serenity.
Kept on the sky box to watch when i like as its imho a cracking film.

It's pretty good if you somewhat liked the Sci fi series, but, like me, were disappointed it (the series) never really got going.
The series could have been great, but missed its chance. Fair enough a slowish build-up, but they missed the bus in my opinion, and over egged the cowboys in space element - cattle smuggling - mmm?

Quick heads-up...just noticed the new True Grit is on tonight, BBC2, 10.00. Cracking movie. (And I speak as a big fan of the ("Fill your hands you sunuvabitch!") original.

Switchback, serial killer movie, stinking reviews and really low overall rating, I thought it was very good though, Danny Glover who I've only ever seen in lightweight roles adds a nice touch of looney menace as a nice guy who seems to know and get on with everyone. Pretty good cast and nicely shot. Slightly daft towards the end but overall worth a watch.

Shogun Assassin

"When the wife of the Shogun's Decapitator is murdered and he is ordered to commit suicide by the paranoid Shogun, he and his four-year-old son escape and become assassins for hire, embarking on a journey of blood and violent death"

Sorry, dawn of the planet of the apes.
Freaky coincidence.
I'm lazy and I don't like reading while watching a film.
but then you miss out on little gems like...
