REC 2... Lots more blood and screaming...

Fury - Brad Pitt and co, as a second world war US Sherman tank crew. It started off ok, although I'm sure the battle with the vastly superior Tiger tank was a bit tongue in cheek, but the last stand in the staranded Sherman was really silly. Still I enjoyed it despite all its shortcomings.

7/10

Inglorious Basterds again, Brad Pitt having a great time hamming it up, and Christoph Waltz is a sublime baddie. Brilliant film.

Woodstock: 3 Days of Peace and Music. Director's Cut.

A 4 hour documentary based on amateur and professional footage of the hippies and the bands in equal measure.

The music, apart from Hendrix and The Who, is pretty awful and the crowd coverage a bit superficial but overall it's one of those films that you are glad to have seen at least once.

You'll have to watch 3 now, as a bit of light relief!
Yep, watched it today. Definitely light hearted relief and not taken too seriously. Enjoyed it more than the other 2 for some reason.

I am even beginning to understand much more of the Spanish! Any other Spanish films I can watch with English subtitles available?

Glad you enjoyed it.

Some other Spanish favourites of mine:

Y Tu Mama Tambien
El Mariachi
Solo Con tu Pareja
The Devil's Backbone
Cronos
Amores Perros
Matador
Paris, je t'aime (not all in Spanish)
The Secret in Their Eyes

I reckon you should do a world tour of foreign cinema while you're laid up, there's a lot of great stuff out there which is over-looked (or remade in English) because subtitles are viewed as a bad thing. A former lady friend refused to watch anything that wasn't all in English because she couldn't be expected to read and follow the film as well, truly pathetic.

Non Stop. It was a bit formulaic and full of cliches from that genre of film, but i actually enjoyed it and Liam Neeson was as good as ever.

I've ordered a few of these for when I get out of hospital. Thank you.

A lovely, subtle, funny, moving film about life and loss, told through the adventures of a couple of bickering travelling psychics. Superb performances, great writing, and hello to Jason Isaacs. Recommended.
