Yes. Unfortunately for him. He's no Michael Rennie. In the original movie, the fellow who played Gort was actually the doorman at The Brown Derby, so I'm told. Great score by Bernard Herrmann.

I can recommend the cd of Bernard Herrman's music - sold as Sonic Sci-Fi combined with the Barrons' electronic music for Forbidden Planet - along with other "space music" from both

Got half way through, crap can't remember the name of it now, <whistles> the 2nd one of the hunger games before the drugs I'm on got the better of me and my OH decided I was too sleepy and given that I was too sleepy I didn't argue!

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
I saw Interstellar at the cinema last night.

It's wonderful, amazing, clever, thought-provoking, beautiful, sublime. 9.5/10

So you liked it a bit then.

I thought gravity was awful. It consisted of sandra bullock going round and round making stupid noises. The end.

Ha! That's a pretty good description.

Personally I don't think it was awful, just your average space movie with some clever special effects. By the end, the metaphors were about as subtle as a brick in the face which was pretty annoying.

To true. The CGI was stunning. Its just a pity that nothing happened. The film could have been so much more.

I'm going to see it on Sunday. Really looking forward to it after being left a bit disappointed by Gravity.

If Gravity is the sort of film you think you should have liked, but were disappointed by, then you should really enjoy Interstellar.
It is quite a long film though, but it didn't feel like it.

I think I got a bit swept up in the hype around Gravity, which is something I'm usually pretty good at avoiding. I paid over the odds to see it in iMax and really enjoyed it at the time, largely because of the effects. When I watched it on the small screen I felt a bit conned.
