Haha, that is excellent.

I saw Sin City: A Dame to Kill For at the cinema.

Very good, love the style. Not quite as good as the first one.

Surprised only one person has mentioned Boyhood, perhaps the best film of the year if not of all time! Tonight we went to see Maps to the Stars, a strong contender for second best.

Warlock, a 1959 Western with Henry Fonda, Anthony Quinn and Richard Widmark (as well as a pre-Star Trek DeForest Kelly as one of the toughs).

I've been watching a lot of older westerns, and quite a few are tosh (enjoyable tosh, mind) but this was a cut above - well worth catching if it shows up on freeview again.

Leon - Director's Cut.

Adds a quite a bit to the Theatrical as that was cut to suit the American market (censorship-wise).

Recommended.

God's Pocket (2014)

Great cast (especially the late Philip Seymour Hoffman), and lots of dark humour.

The History Boys - had good expectations of this. Boy, what a let down! Awful film. Couldn't get into it or connect with any of the characters. The main character basically being a paedophile didn't really help especially with the warmth his character was given in the story.

Identity - thriller with John Cusack and Ray Liotta. Now this was more like it  Good entertaining film to while away an hour or two with a whodunnit to try and sort out as well. Great film but then I am biased towards a Ray Liotta film.
