Not last night but Sunday. Watched "Safe". Typical Jason Statham story:gun::ninja::boxing: but very entertaining for all that.
Last night watched "New Tricks". I'm not quite sure about Rodney (Dave) yet .

Just watched Monuments men. A war time (based on a) true story about a group soldiers, American, British, French and a German Jew, that sought out all the art treasures stolen by the Germans, and returned to their rightful owners.
Starring and directed by George Clooney. A good film, worth a watch.

Have you read the book?

The main female lead in the book is called Rose, but ends up as Claire I think in the film.

She's also described as quite plain, but ends up looking like Cate Blanchett.

The Frozen Ground.

4/10.

A promising first half hour which quickly descends into a generic police procedural affair, as the 'whodunnit' element of surprise is revealed/obvious far too early. Nicholas Cage holds it together manfully in the lead, but is let down by a poor supporting cast and a wooden script. John Cusack is an interesting choice as the villain of the piece but he doesn't really pull it off.

Last night i watched Homicide: The Movie and found a new all time low in movie making. OK it was only a TV movie, but that's no excuse for such total and utter garbage!

Not a film, but yesterday i also watched the final episode of Chocky's Challenge, also total and utter crap and not a patch on the two preceding series (Chocky & Chocky's Children).

The only way is up!

Finally watched Snowpiercer
Different! and some great performances especially by Tilda Swinton
Enjoyable and certainly worth a watch - good production design and fairly well shot but seemed to just lack something - bit slow at times? I'd still give it 7 or 8 out of 10 though.

Lucy. Luc Besson being weird. Very much a 'Huh?' ending (as in, what's the point rather than what's that mean, meaning was spoon fed throughout). If you watch the trailers and think Scarlett Johansson action movie, then you're not going to get what you expected. I've seen worse and the car chase was quite nice (if for other reasons infuriating) so a cautious 5/10
