Sommat with Nebraska in the title. Boring, but wasn't paying much attention to it. Was Oscar nominated as well.

Water for Elephants, excellent book, haven't seen the movie, interested to see what they did with it. Nebraska I loved, very low key and perfectly Mid-West, but you have to like films with a 0 burning helicopter quotient. I loved the bit when the elder brother turned up and they all asked him how long the journey had taken him (including the younger brother).

La Vie En Rose, a bio-pic of Edith Piaf. A very sad tale, beautifully filmed, with an astonishing Oscar winning performance by Marion Cottillard. Highly reccomended.
9/10

Boy it was complicated. I had to read a spoiler online afterwards to make sure I understood what had happened. Not a bad film though.[/QUOTE]
it is a cracking fillum that... even David Bowie's bearable!

The best exotic Marigold hotel. I watched this with its aged stellar cast and quite enjoyed it. Nothing too taxing.
My only problem was the complete reversal of the Maggie Smith character, from grumpy rather dim racist to wise, sage, business woman.

Pulp Fiction, not seen it in ages. Never twigged until now that Big Kahuna Burgers (mmm now that is a tasty burger!) appear in Reservoir Dogs.

Always worth a second watch, that one. Great film.

I watched Chaplin last night. I really enjoyed it too.
