Never had Covid, nor the mystery injection.

It's probably a combination of "what farmers plant in my country" and "what my local markets choose to stock." As I said, canned tomatoes still taste normal. But they're not real useful for hamburgers or tacos.

Me neither! Touch-wood, I haven't been 'ill' since November 2016 when I had a bad reaction to antibiotics after a leg/hip break corrective operation. I talk to friends and folk who seem to have respiratory infections month after month. I always ask on them telling me the first time they're ill, if they had 'the vaccinations'. One said she only had two, while most say they had three or four, with one saying he's had five!

The wuhan variant was circulating in China in late 2019, 5 jabs in that time doesn't sound excessive given that immunity fades. I've had 5 jabs out a possible 6 or maybe 7.

Started having flu jabs in jan 2021 and have had 4 of those. I've never knowingly had flu, and would like to keep it that way.

Yet many I know, including me have been fine, being vaccine free! I must say I've noticed quite significant changes in the personalities of some I know who indulged in quite a few of the untested vaccinations. One fellow I know used to be all outgoing, for example shouting "How are you"?! if he saw you across the road. Now he seems quite 'zombified' and keep his head down most of the time, almost shying away if he sees you. As for the flu jab, that's another I'd refuse. I don't think I've ever had flu, unless one of the many bad colds I used to get in my younger days was flu. Thinking about it, when I had my head and neck cancer operation over 17 years ago, I asked the surgeon who led the operation if I should have a flu jab for the then forthcoming winter/flu season. He replied that he strongly advised against it, saying you should only have stuff injected into you as a cure, not as a form of prevention. I listened to his advice and again touch-wood I've been relatively illness free since that cancer op all those years ago!

That surgeon's advice might have been specific to your scenario:

Eg some jabs just aren't recommended until recovered from an op.
And that live attenuated vaccines aren't suitable during certain cancer treatments (although this should't have applied to a flu jab of that period).
More importantly, if a normally healthy person asked 100 surgeons that question, I think most would give the opposite answer.

The idea that treatment is better than prevention is absolutely nuts. For eaxmple do you have any idea of the cost of diabetes to the NHS?

My wife & I have both had 6. Three in the first year after they became available, then 1 each year since.

That is nobody then.

There were NO "untested vaccinations".

Only conspiracy theorists or the gullible believe there were.

Everybody I know personally has had at least the initial course, and all the of the older people have had all the boosters.

I haven't seen any personality changes in any of them.

As for the flu jab, that's another I'd refuse.

I ahd one a few years ago, when my daughter was undergoing chemotherapy (that wa sto protect her from catching it from me, rather than to protect me), and have had it the last three years, having now reached the eligible age.

I don't think I've ever had flu, unless one of the many bad colds I used to get in my younger days was flu. I find it very hard to believe that any actual surgeon would say anything so utterly stupid and against all medical advice.,

He may have advised YOU personally against it, either because of the operation, or for other reasons to do with YOUR medical history.

But NO reputable medical professional will advise against all vaccinations - and ALL vaccinations are for prevention rather than cure.

I think you are misrembering what he said.

I've had one Covid vaccine jab and because of a reaction I was "barred" from further ones, by wiser heads than mine. I've also never had a flu jab, but anti-epileptic medication being taken is the reason. Not my choice on either.

I class neither as "trivial", but something that has to be lived with. Personal to me and not something I'd judge anyone else by for having them if offered. I never caught Covid, nor to my knowledge have I ever had flu that I'm aware off. Bad colds aplenty, but no flu. Not having the Covid jabs led to daily testing for two years. Maybe I've just been lucky over the years.
I'm with lazybloke on these, that being that the advice given was personal to your situation, and not a general remark for everyone.

My wife & I have both had 6. Three in the first year after they became available, then 1 each year since.

When I asked that surgeon if I'd need a flu jab due to my low immunity to such as the flu virus after my operation, chemotherapy and radiotherapy he not only replied advising against having a flu jab, but also adding that such a jab could affect my already low immunity. I now and have done for a while actually think that my immunity became much better, not worse after the operation, chemotherapy and radiotherapy! Folk who have coughs and colds say such things to me like "Don't get too close, I don't want you to get this virus"! I hope I'm not tempting fate, but I'm sure I could get as close to them as possible and still not catch whatever they have! It's as if my body has developed a 'super immunity' since I had stage 3 cancer! 🤔

It takes ten years to fully test and develop a vaccine, yet the Covid ones were 'knocked up in a month or so!

Well you keep having them year after year, while I'll remain untested vaccine free! Maybe you could also give your thoughts on why multi vaccinated folk I know and know of are on their third, fourth even fifth dose of Covid.

Vaccines don't stop you catching diseases - they prepare your immune system for when you do.

Instead of AAAAARGH, WHAT'S THAT!!!!...

Your body goes Ah, Covid again - immune response, please wipe that bug out for me.

It's like SWAT members wearing body armour - it doesn't stop them getting shot, but it gives them a much better chance of surviving it when they are shot!

Maybe those who rely on this vaccine to boost their immune system should/could try to boost it naturally, by better diet, exercise and keeping to an acceptable BMI.
