Thank you @The Crofted Crest. My birthday got worse when I then got a text from one sister the whole content of which was to complain about her lot in life and to tell me that her card would be late (just like the card from my parents). Then I remembered I had had a nice day up to that point and there is a good reason I live a 100 miles away from any of them.

Would be nice to spend one birthday not in tears because of my dysfunctional family.
Belated happy birthday :birthday:

I love cycling, I love drinking beer, I love good wine. I quite like running, when I'm not injured and took part in both "races" your organised in the last year. I even went to Reigate for that 10k but got treated like a leper as I was the only person from here there. I don't like socialising with colleagues in the far flung reaches of this programme but I'm happy to do so with those I work with day-to-day, and, indeed, I do, frequently. So stop it with the bake-off emails and the invitations to go ten-pin bowling.

Oh Vic Reeves - you were once the king of avant-garde comedy, then you (and Bob) singlehandedly reinvented the panel show with Shooting Stars, you brought merriment to millions in the criminally under-rated Hebburn and somehow topped the pop charts, and because of all that we were prepared to forgive you for the occasional blip like Randall and Hopkirk Deceased or I'm a Celebrity..., but what the heck are you doing overacting alarmingly in Corrie?

Not only have you changed the packaging of your shampoo and given it a load of impenetrable new names so I don't know which type to buy any more (which is bad enough), but you've reduced the bottle size by 10% and kept the price the same. Charlatans!

Why the f**key is the heating on when I get home?

It's almost 20 degrees outside, and about 90 inside. You're 18 not 80..If you're cold put a f**k ing jumper on.

I may actually have said this.....
I remember a discussion very similar to that with my then girlfriend and stepdaughter who were having a meal with me and who were wearing summer outfits but complaining that the room was cold. I was wearing shorts and t-shirt and felt very warm, close to being uncomfortably warm. I told them that yes, they could have the heating on, but only if they had no objection to me spending the rest of the evening naked and cooling myself down with wet flannels ...

They put jumpers on!

The heating was up full blast on my morning Metro yesterday.

A combination of vertigo and having to stand meant I had to get off a couple stops early when it all became too much.

I was sick in a station bin.

What a wonderful start to the day.

The design delivery document your company authored says active/passive so that is what our company instructed their company to deliver. Not our fault, not their fault. Your fault. Again.
