Just come back from getting birthday cards for my wife's sister
Decided to wait until today in the hope that the shops had got rid of all the Valentine's day cards and had some birthday cards back on the shelves
I met someone else on the same mission - apparently this was her 5th attempt to get a birthday card for her Husband's sister!!

Personally I would force hospitals to medically delay pregnancy for women who are likely to give birth between 7th and 14th February
and about 15th to 25th December in order to spare the relative having to look for birthday cards at those times of year!!

anyway - got them in the end

A chilly 6 mile hilly walk done. I was toasty on the way up but got cold on the descent.

Just finished my porridge with a spoonful of peanut butter in it for a change.

That works really well and adds protein. In our recent kitchen cupboard clear out I found a jar of Bramley apple purée. Tried it in my porridge and it was extra yummy

Be careful what you wish for. That would mean that nine months previously, a fortnight without nookie for the poor hubbies / partners 🤔

I think I am getting less brave as I am getting older. I fully intended to go for a ride today as the weather looks nice but when I took Molly for a walk this morning, I didn't like the strength of the wind and the cold so I changed my mind now and watching the snooker instead.
Maybe tomorrow?

The Carew Arms - my kind of pub.
Nothing poncey, lots of locals and doggies.
Owned by a micro brewery.
Good beers and good food at decent prices.
And a roaring fire. :okay:
