Yes, I was an innocent young man before this lot influenced me. They are dreadful.
 
Afternoon all
Well, sailing went as planned . Four brave sailers decided to sail . One changed their mind on the slipway and three sailors started . We had five capsizes and had to do two rescues ( one after the race had finished ) and had two finishers.
Everyone said they enjoyed themselves so it was well worth the effort. 😀
Now sat drinking coffee and watching some cycling on the tv while I still can .

Well done for getting out there

When I was sailing every week (twice in summer) we always loved the stronger winds
partly because our boat was heavier than it was supposed to be (and some people said that we were as well)
hence we could balance the heal in strong winds better than the young slim people in their far newer boats
and the people in the very very smart varnished boats didn;t bring them out in strong winds in case they got a teeny tiny scratch in the varnish

hence we sometime came in the top three - finished 2nd in one series when a series of gales blew few over a few weeks!!
