A little early for the good nights . Unless you gentlemen have had a very tiring day . 😀

There is a big range of 'normal' bed times in this small community. I wonder what it would be like in the wider CC community? Maybe someone could do a poll?

We just could not contemplate going to bed at 9.30pm,10.00pm,10.30pm, etc.

Our usual time is around 1.00am to 2am - much later on our 'party for two' nights.

On the other hand, we are rarely out of bed before 10.00am. Hours after the early birds on here!

Horses for courses, though!

I seem to sleep better going between 10.30 and 11.

Just had a wander along to Aldi for a few things. It’s still damp underfoot and a bit dismal but didn’t feel too cold.

No, I can't say that has ever occurred to me. It's a damn good barbershop, 5 chairs, always full and very rare to wander in and notcwait.

They have been specifically targeted by HMRC.

Having spoken to someone I know that deals with commercial properties they are not surprised. Often, many of these, and similar 'cash' businesses to be fair, have business cases that simply do not stack up.

I’m currently using 2.73kw. When the off peak first clicks on it’s over 9kw with 2 storage heaters and immersion but the biggest storage heater and hot water must have reached their temperatures so just the hall storage heater using power just now. It’s an expensive £340 per month the last 2 bills!

Is electricity the only fuel source that you use?

Our overall energy usage (electricity, oil, coal, & logs) is around £275 pm; averaged over the year - for a decent sized 3 bed detached, bungalow.

Not read through the link.

I read something like that some while ago - didn't they call it the Golden Hour? I think there was some concern around the long-term effects of shift working.

Looks like there is no hope for us two here!

I normally retire at around 10pm, but I read for half an hour or so before turning off the light.

The rain has now arrived so the cats have come running in.

Our combined fuel payment, gas and electricity is £128 a month, so just over£1300 for a year. This is fixed for a year. There is a couple of months credit at the start of the cold weather, ie October/ November so I never quite go into debit by the start of spring.
