Good morning folks, early isn't it! Wide awake so came downstairs and currently sitting on the sofa. The energy display on the sideboard tells me the house is using 114watts in the background, must be all the stuff like router, TV on standby etc. 2 degrees at the moment rising to a blistering 9 degrees later.

I’m currently using 2.73kw. When the off peak first clicks on it’s over 9kw with 2 storage heaters and immersion but the biggest storage heater and hot water must have reached their temperatures so just the hall storage heater using power just now. It’s an expensive £340 per month the last 2 bills!

Can I ask what they charge.
My son had a haircut, shave plus nasal/ear hairs removed......£18.00.
I checked in a local one and he wants £30.00 which seems a lot to me.

£23 for the same as your son. I usually get the hot towels thrown in, very occasionally a shoulder massage. The staff know I tip so if the boss isn't around there can be the odd extra for free.

Good morning all.
The rain is due here around 10am, and then will last for a few days.
I'll get Millie out across the fields early and then take cover.
MrsP is at the wildlife rescue centre this morning and then we are going to The Gate for lunch, excellent food and they don't scrimp on the portions either.

Morning all :hello:

This morning I shall be doing a fait bit of welding.
It's not something I've done a lot of over the years, but I did do a college course on welding about 40 years ago and it's not something you really forget. The bit I've been doing lately has been getting neater with each weld, so I'm expecting decent results today.

I'm not sure I want to know what the "extras" are.

Many years ago when Mrs Tkk were on holiday in Spain I visited a local barber. I have rudimentary Spanish but with a mix of that and hand gestures all was well. The haircut included an eyebrow trim, then the barber lit a taper, held the edge of his hand against my cheekbone and " flicked " the taper against his hand so the flame momentarily went into my ears and singed the hair there.
He then lathered the back of my neck and used a cut throat razor to tidy up my hair line.
