welsh dragon

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
I just had a weather alert about storm Eowin. It guess it must be a Welsh name because according to the BBC it is " Éowyn, pronounced ‘ay-oh-win’ ". So all those Welsh people who I thought must be called Owen ( Hey, Owen! ) might actually be named Éowin. Perhaps @welsh dragon could clear thins up for us before the storm arrives 😁

I think it's a name from The Lord Of The Rings maybe

I have a final "fit" next Wednesday then the week after I will be the proud owner of a set of new top gnashers. Not sure how I will get on with them as just putting the mould in makes me gag.

I can sleep anywhere, anytime. 45 years of shift work, and not regular shifts meant my sleeping pattern was far from anywhere near normal.

Yes, I'm the same I can go to sleep anywhere. Bed, chair, plane, car and when we go walking I'm famous for laying back after my sandwiches and sleep on the ground.

Bizarrely my night sleep pattern in a bed is pretty awful.

I've just remembered I have been known to drop off at the theatre, cinema and even friend's house when we go round. I have to confess I've nodded off briefly at Ewood Park, more than once!!!!! (When I worked and was truly exhausted). All our friends know about and understand this, it's simply when I go I just go........for this reason I rarely drive for more than two hours without stopping for a break and a nap.

The most embarrassing???? I go to a proper Turkish barber for a haircut and beard trim. It takes about 35 - 40 minutes. I'm almost bald!! It's such an intense and pleasurable experience I have nodded off in the barber's chair. 🤣🤣🤣

It is a Celtic name because Tolkien considered the Rohan people to be Celtic types

hence using Celtic names for them - which is basically similar to Welsh

AT least it has one vowel - could be worse

I'd looked it up in the interim. Coincidentally, I have a GoreTex cycling jacket made by Rohan, I will wear it if I venture out into the coming storm, hoping that Éowyn will protect me 😀
