Good morning, Mrs Tkk is off to Lidl in a bit, I am tempted to accompany her so I can peruse the " Middle of Lidl " for some more stuff to put in the shed😁
Granddaughter sleepover tonight, we're going to see if she is happy to sleep in her own bedroom, or if she still wants to sleep in with grandma and grandad.
Keep warm folks ☕️👍

Salut.
Today is the last day ever that I paint a ceiling and tomorrow the last day ever that I do decorating.
You have been warned.

Yep. I used to enjoy decorating but the day comes when you admit defeat and pay the professional.
I also admit that the last two I employed were better than me.

And so incredibly fast.

They tend to use better quality paint as well - I do the same now (when I have to do smaller jobs) having listened & learned that the usual Big Shed Dulux/Crown stuff is relatively *iss poor.

@Drago Why the need to mask to paint a ceiling?

Mrs D only uses Farrow and Ball paint. She loves decorating, gets a kick out of both planning and doing, but being a 3 storey house I'll pay some schmuck to come and to the hallways and stairwell.

We used F&B paint some years ago as we had an F&B shop in Kendal (not sure if it is still there tbh) but didn't get on with it. Wasn't great on the opacity front and seemed a bit all show & no go. Great colour matching service though.

We now go to a Dulux Decorater Centre in Morecambe which has some very good high-opacity trade paints which cover astonishingly well, go on beautifully (with a decent quality brush) and dry pdq.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.

My son hates that paint. His partners thinks it's great, but he says you need so many layers because its so opaque.
