Getting old but not past it

I have just finished chopping a few logs so that's my work done for today.
I was contemplating going for a ride this afternoon but it is still too windy for my liking so the bike will stay dry and warm.
Looking at my record for December last year, I only rode 18 kms in the whole month! Hoping to better that this year but it is all down to the weather.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Pork today. Probably with roast potatoes and peas.

Suggestions for a very unusual Christmas gift here: auction of stained glass next Friday.
Lots 9044 to 9047A would look stunning in the right setting, but I rather like lot 9028, a red dragon with a head that looks more like a donkey's, complete with luxuriously bushy eyelashes/brows(?). Unfortunately SWMBO has got wind of my interest and vetoed any bid.
As always, I must confess that she knows best, under torture, of course. A more mundane present is called for.

Looks good, and all seems to be Scottish related.
Lots 9011, 9019 and 9053 with the names on them. Return/donate to the regiments named.

Started young, and still going.

Barnet,
What a crap day. I popped out on the bike to the local shops for a few bits and pieces.
The rain is still falling and the wind is still blowing.
I'm catching up with a few programmes on the iplayer before the football starts on the tellybox.
Tomorrow should be better weatherwise.

This coming week is looking nice, if cold here.

I was rooting around in my cycling cupboard and found the box my Wahoo Roam came in. I've had it six months, I'll recycle the box. Checked to see what's inside and lo there's a really nice solid platform outfront bracket. Love it.

Said bracket now fitted. A friend is selling his Garmin Varia. I have been pondering one of these. He's loaned it to me for two months to see how I get on. The Varia is now mounted on the Kinesis.

I was bemoaning Shimano apps the other day. The Varia works with the Wahoo app. Open Wahoo, enable search for new sensor, 20 seconds, "do you want to install Garmin Varia?" Click yes. 20 seconds later it's installed and showing on my map screen.

And that Mr Shimano is an app......not the junk you offer with your £1000+ group sets. Sheessshhhh.

Been out on the bike this morning, a nice winter light, mostly cloudy here but over the Ochils there seemed to be lots of sun picking up a dusting of snow on their tops. I seem to have got my winter clothing selections sorted for the moment, it was 4° with a biting north wind, I was out for just shy of three hours and was perfectly comfortable throughout.
Cyclo-cross on the telly this afternoon. I say ‘on the telly’ but really I’ve no idea how or where its broadcast, MrsFoE deals with all that, she logs on to something on the internet and casts it to the telly. Edit - spoke too soon, apparently it’s been cancelled
