In all seriousness stay away from them, I’ve had the latest lurgy, and it’s wiped me out, totally, it’s 11 days on and I am still not right, headache & lethargy, with a cough that keeps coming back, everything seems a huge effort right now

COVID?

Right - the grandkids have been delivered back to their parents

The older 2 were behaving weird - due to not having seen their Mum for over a week and knowing that she would be home and supposeldy coming to get them after lunch
after lunch they rang and asked if we could take them

Well the middle one as autism (a bit) and reacted badly to the change in plans - even though we tried to explain that this was he would get to see him Mum quicker
I have noticed before that, as expected, he really does not react well to changes in plans especially when it is for something important to him

he got a bit better when I sat down on the floor with him and gently explained why and that we understood that his mood and grumpiness as due to him not liking changes
he would never have accepted that a year ago so I think he is growing up and developing mentally - which is actually good to see

I remember that teh school I last taught in had an autism specialist Sepecila Needs department
and they had a board that they had at the start of every day and it had today's schedule on it
at next to it was another board with "whoops something has changed" at the top in big letters

all the kids tended to come inas soon as they got to school (they were the only ones allowed in before the official start of school) and immediatly go to that board
it would show and teachers that were off and who was going to replace them
plus any other changes that might affect the kids

If a supply teacher was due in some kids would automatically be taken out of class as they couldn't cope with the change on some days

anyway - they are all back now and we are recovering
all toys etc are tidied away - although the sausage roll fragments under the table will be hovered up tomorrow

now - sausage and mash to tea

Just had a nice curry.

I did as well. It was perfect after 45 minutes in the gym followed by a 45-minute swim.
