Pie and fries today.

Rain then sun then rain, you get the picture.

And another pottering day here.

Brunch for me was cereal followed by brocoli n Stilton soup.
Later (I am told) I will have slow cooker chicken n veg with mash.
It's difficult as I did all the cooking for me and Sue. Now the family are here my daughter likes to cook for me (as she is already doing a meal for the family).
Today my plan was........ Bacon barm for lunch and later it would be tuna, pasta and mayo....... So that's gone out of the window.
Daughter is a good cook, as was Sue and I don't want to upset her but I need some indipendance.

Are your family living with you Dave?

Yes, they have moved into the main house and I have moved into the flat. I had to adjust to the size but it has bedroom, bathroom, lounge and (small) kitchen...... Plus the conservatory and patio. I am quite comfy in here.

I must have missed this while I took a year off. You sold your place family sold theirs and you've bought something between you?

Are you still near Warrington?

I am still in the same house. It is/was a large 3 bed 2 bath. Years ago we had a granny flat built on (for Sue's Mum).
Daughter and family are renting theirs out....... They would like to sell it really.
So, they have moved in to the main house.
Works out well really as we l get on fine.

Aye, I'm 350' up on the peak of a hill and we do know it when the weather sets in.

Billing Aggrodrome is less than 2 miles away as the crow flies and is underwater yet again, but I have best part of 60 metres extra altitude over them so I'm feeling quite smug.

Re side of a hill and house insurance.

Every time we change provider we have to explain that just because we live on the side of the hill does not mean it is sliding down the hill! The foundations are built straight onto bedrock.

Also. The river a few hundred feet from the house does not mean we will get flooded at some stage. It lies in a wide rock gorge some 80 feet deep and the top of the gorge is at least 30' below house level.

Providers have been known to get Into a terrible fret about these things...

I've just had the physiotherapy department from our local hospital on the phone. I am starting a six week course of exercises at the hospital gym for my arthritic knee to help with the tightness of the muscles and tendons to help improve the flexibility of said knee.
Every Friday morning, starting on the 11th of October.

Good luck with your treatment.

Interesting. I've just had an NHS physio appointment via a company called Ascenti. Knee at 11.00 and a second appointment at 12.00 for my shoulder....🤔🤷 I think this what the outsourcing of NHS stuff does.

The knee tightness is due to scarring tissue caused by the multiple lacerations in my crash......photos available on request. Flexibility is what I need.

The shoulder is trapped muscle wastage due to lack of use.

Well, we do like good pic's around here!

Not too gruesome though.
