Chances of rain decreasing from 13:00.

Is it or is that a guess? Both say 50% chance of rain.

I can't find an explanation for the symbols used.

A Kosher chicken?

Being a nice Jewish boy myself I'd let her iron my kippah ;)

I must talk to my Daughters about phoning Elder when I'm an OAP and getting them to send me a young fit looking Jewish bird to live with me,

one of these??

Arabian Green Bee Eater - native to the area.

can;t think what else you might mean!

SO - today was fun

booked in for a "camera down the throat" test this afternoon

so no food after 7 a.m.
and have not been allowed any of my anti stomach acid tablets for 2 weeks
hence up for 2 hours overnight with "wind"
so didn;t get up in time to have any breakfast anyway

got to the hospital - escorted by SWMBO - and got asked a lot of question by a nurse who was being mentored buy another one - don;t think she had done it before as she got confused at a lot of my answers
(what do you mean - so do you lot???)

anyway - I opted for sedation as I know I have a very sensitive gag reflex and sprays don;t generally work very well
so they put a cannula in my left arm

then waited - and waited

then got called in and they flushed the needle thingy again - which hurt a lot

edit - oh and the sedative did get into my system - just much later as it wasn;t in the vein
so it didn;t help in the hospital
but I slept a lot when I got home!!!
so they fiddled and tried again - which was better
then tried to put the sedative in - which hurt
they fiddled again and re-tried - apparently the first lot didn;t even go in
then they fiddled some more etc etc
which was all fun

then they found lump where all the fluid had gathered in the wrong place - i.e. not in the vein

so they looked at my other arm - and decided that was no good either
or the wrist
or the other wrist
or the left hand

at which point I asked it we could try without the sedative as they were running out of veins

honestly - they wouldhave had less trouble with a heroin user!!

apparently when they said no breakfast and only black tea/coff and water until 11 a.m. - then most people drink a fair amount - but as I got up late and didn;t I was dehydrated and my veins shrunk

anyway - camera down throat was about 1/2 inch diameter - I had 5 squirts on spray to numb my throat - but it had worn off after all the fiddling so I had another 5

it was still very awkward
and I gagged constantly
only just managed to breath at time

distinctly unpleasent

but they got the camera stuff done although it didn;t feel like it
and got the bi-opsy they needed

and found zero evidence of cancer - not that it was likely but nice to know

now have to wait 6-8 weeks for the lab results to get back and find out if I have coeliac disease or not

should get put on a gluten free diet just in time for Christmas I reckon!!!

anyway - hopefully I won;t have to do THAT again for a long time!

In general terms, I am of the firm belief, that the only thing that is 'broken' in Britain, is politics.

Most people I know are thoroughly disillusioned with our crazy system of election (FPTP), lies, double standards and the sheer out-of-touch attitude of the Gov', of whatever colour.

I don’t totally agree but I do agree with with the problems with the FPTP system .( I am a long time supporter of PR ).
Unfortunately we had the chance to change it to a PR system in the early 2010s when we had a binding referendum on it and in a low turnout vote it was lost by a large margin . ☹️
I cannot see either of the major parties offering again.
After all as a party, if you think you can win a overall majority under FPTP why would you want to change to a system were the odds are you will have to share power with another party .
