Same here, have built up a credit of several hundred over the summer with the Solar and battery. On target to either break even or make a small profit this year.

I'd like to get solar, but I'm worried about what would happen if my roof needed to be repaired. The only other alternative would be to have them installed on the ground.

It is a problem - but the panels protect the roof below then

so to an extent it makes it less vulnerable

and the rest of the roof is still accessible

However, some roofers might refuse to work on it in case they mess it up somehow I suppose

But if the tiles under the panels start leaking - which is unlikely as the rain doesn;t directly hit them - then the panels would need to be moved - whcih only some roofers woud tackle - which would put the price up

so it is a problem - but maybe not too much (I hope!!!!)

Morning all, woke up late as usual to find the burglar alarm is making a noise outside, I tried everything to get it to stop, the only way it will is if I have it alarmed with all zones off, very odd.

You can get grants, however you have to have heat pumps, tons of insulation put into your house. It makes a hell of a mess and I don't think heat pumps work for most houses

I also bought some wood to build a small platform in the corner of the room and debating whether to start today or leave it till tomorrow.
