I'll go back to my usual mantra of I just hate people. They all want something from you but when you need something back, they conveniently go deaf.

I'd have insisted on cash in full, not vouchers usable through one retailer only. Especially when that retailer changes the conditions of use to suit itself.

I agree but in all honesty I don't currently have the energy to push it. I got my claim paid in full without query and very promptly. The communication and service were very good.

If I'd been offered a voucher for the bike I would have felt very different. I don't really care where my helmet and Wahoo come from but ot is important I support my LBS and I can support Lusso for my kit.

Lusso are an excellent company run by a very creative young man who always goes the extra mile. To be sent elsewhere wouldn't have been acceptable.

No, but I did use a Covid tester.
Oh, dear. Hope you're not too poorly

Started young, and still going.
Location
Barnet,
Good morning all. It's a grey misty start here.
This morning I'm going to make a big pot of apple sauce. Next door's apple tree is huge and has a mass off fruit on it hanging over our fence. As we are going away tomorrow to Croatia it would be a shame to waste some of it.
I'll catch up with the Vuelta from yesterday and then there is an escape committee meeting this afternoon.
Another busy day in paradise. 🍵

Good morning. A pleasant autumn day has dawned and the forecast is good for the next few days. I'll be on the allotment for a while.

Yesterday was exhausting, simply too busy. I sat down with a glass of wine to "relax" and paid the price. We're not talking party time. About six months ago I decided to cut alcohol consumption. I knew it was creeping up, Mrs P wasn't drinking so this was easy. Much easier to resist one urge to buy a bottle of gin than several calls from the drinks cupboard!! 🤣 Same with biscuits etc.if I don't buy them I don't eat them

I've noticed now that just a couple of drinks gives a poor sleep and a dehydrated feeling. Slept very badly last night.

It's Mrs P's birthday. Later I have to nip out and make sure #2 son has a present for her. Hopefully his carers have remembered and taken him shopping.

I don't drunk be cause of my liver, some exception being an extremely rare glass of IPA on specialist occasions (Birthday, Christmas dinner, etc.) I think 3 pints a year is my limit of it gives me a headache.
