Just back from the vets with Molly as I suspected her teeth were looking a bit iffy again. She needs one extraction and a clean and scale so at least £535 or slightly more if any of the others look suspect when they have a proper look under anaesthetic. I love her to bits though and won’t have her living with a sore mouth so it’s got to be done.

A week on Thursday for her op.

Not covered by insurance?

When our dog was alive his vet always used to plead poverty.

One for the TV watchers.

Another 500000 people last year dumped the obligatory licence tax.

That's on top of the 400000 the year before.

The times they are a'changing.

We are a no-licence household and tbh haven't noticed a change in our life at all since we got rid.

So I take it you’re not interested in watching the likes of the Olympics?

Molly isn’t insured but I don’t think dental work is covered anyway as it’s considered routine, preventative work rather than an emergency.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.

I think your right. Its a bit like maintenence on your house. Routine care, unlike if she had an accident and her teeth were damaged then it would be covered.

You are right , insurance doesn't cover teeth for pets. I am considering not renewing insurance for Molly and take a chance as she is very healthy. After all, years ago, nobody bothered about pet insurance did they?
