Hopefully you enjoyed being back out on the bike ?

Not too bad and the Wattbike seems to have kept the legs better than if I hadn’t done anything. Sadly the light mornings only last a couple of months though and that seems to be the only time the roads are a bit quieter.

I still think I prefer running if I had to choose.

I used to live in Acocks Green, my first bedsit after leaving home. He mentioned still living in Solihull at his gig last night, though as @Flick of the Elbow said, Knowle/ Dorridge is adjacent and less well known ( growing up, Solihull was the " posh " part of Brum, Knowle/Dorridge was very " exclusive " ) There was a bit of a kerfuffle when the Chelmsley Wood housing estate with its tower blocks had its boundaries redefined and became part of Solihull.

To be fair though, the Shirley bit of Solihull was also far from posh and that had always been part of Solihull.
(I was brought up in Hall Green to age 11 and Shirley thereafter).

Painting finished, just need to tidy up. Chest of drawers also built up and rest of wardrobe came earlier. That's my job for tomorrow.
My plan for the rest of the afternoon is to have a shower and go for a little walk for some fresh air and change of scenery.

The weather forecast has proved spot on today. Managed a dry 35 miles this morning, the first spots falling just as I got home. Has been properly wet ever since.
