been meaning to ask the Collective something

Last time I picked the Grand Daughter (female aged 11) up from school I put the radio on in the car

It has become tuned to some station that seems to play some decent music

anyway - Led Zepplin came on - I think it was Kashmire

so I turned it up

Grand-daughter put her hands over her ears and told me to turn it down as it was TOO LOUD

so - some questions

a) was that cool?
b) can Led Zepplin be too loud it the speaker don't actually burst or jump out of the car?
c) should we send her to a re-education centre for the musically undeveloped??
d) was it just embarrassing?

Maybe I should note that her gran - my wife - sometimes used to embarrass her son (the father of said grand-kid) when he went to his bedrrom with some mates and put music on
They like rap and that stuff - this was in the 1990s ish
She used to yell upstairs about the music
telling him to turn it up as she couldn;t hear it downstairs

apparently she was embarrassing - I think I did similar with my daughter when she was a kid
How about some Foster and Allen, The Spinners?

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Just back from town. Prescription dropped off. Town is rammed with Englandshire people as its Easter. Bloody tourists on the roads

Fish with bread and butter today. :hungry:

And a load of washing is nearly ready to put outside. It's a nice day here now. :sun:

I’ve just had a fried egg sarnie. I’m doing intermittent fasting again so hadn’t had any calories since tea time yesterday. Got to shift some of this blubber before the weather improves. It’s one method of weight loss that seems to work for me plus it’s good to keep blood sugar, inflammation, etc under control too. Feeling quite good on it.

By spooky coincidence, moments after reading this I looked at my FB feed and the first thing I see is a story from the ‘Lost Edinburgh’ account recalling the bombing of Edinburgh by Zeppelin on this day in 1916.

I am munching on mixed olives and feta cheese with lots of garlic.
Later will be bubble and squeak with some chicken......I will have brown sauce on that.

Yeah, you'll have a lot of "brown sauce " tomorrow too after eating that lot !💩

She definitely needs edumacating Nothing wrong with a bit of Led Zepplin.

Come on chaps let's get the spelling right:

Led Zeppelin (has a second e) & Kashmir (has no e).^_^

My favourite band ever. Although I don't listen to them much these days as they belong in my distant past.

Kashmir and Trampled Underfoot are my two favourite ever tracks by any artist.

The former for the amazingly evocative rendering of the Indian subcontinent.

The latter for the stunning bass line.

Have you listened to music experts on YT disect and critique LZ tracks? They are way more carefully crafted than you might imagine. Worth searching for.

Mo. I have puzzled over your mentions of needing to lose weight as you do one hell of a lot of exercise. Far more than most people.

Have you just tried dumping carb's in a keto-light fashion?

My excuse is......
I was too lazy to look it up so just followed Ebikers spelling.
Just shows......you cannot trust a scouser.

Briefly, but it doesn’t agree with me. No energy at all when I try it.

Hopped on the Wattbike for an easy paced group ride. Barely got the heart rate above 100. Really enjoyable ride with a good bunch.

That’s 913 miles since I got the bike on 4th December.……and no nasty potholes or angry drivers!

You're talking to the man with the Led Zeppelin tattoo.

Since I've Been Loving You and Nobody's Fault But Mine are my fave tracks. Being a multi instrumentalist, and thus having an insight into some or the mechanics and theory of music, myself only heightens my admiration for them.

JPJ and Bonzo are/were technical masters, Page maybe not technically the finest but with a profound sense of feel and timing, and Plant's voice...
