Aaaah...we used to do that to record stuff.

If you actually know what this lump of rectangular plastic with a brown ribbon in it is......you're old:okay:. In fact, if you need physical objects such as tapes, vinyl, CD etc to listen to music rather than ask Alexa to download it...you're a fossil.

If you have a DVD player, you are old.

Cripes, aint that the truth.

I remember when CD players were the new thing. The first CD I bought was the Cocteau Twins. Victorialand I think. It soared, I was in love.

Yes a friend who was sponsored at University in 80s (40 years ago) had a CD player. He claimed CDs were indestructible and got upset when we started playing frisbee with his Dire Straits CD.

I have a turntable a CD player and a tuner

True story. My brother was dating a woman much younger than himself many years ago. We were skiing in Canada and in the evening, discussion turned to music. We got onto to talking about turntables. Mentioning I had a turntable, the much younger woman asked if I was a DJ 😂 A turntable no longer being something associated with at home music by the next generation.

I recently bought "War of the Worlds on CD.
I had to play it on a Blu-ray player, as I don't have a CD player that isn't up in the loft somewhere...
