When the family is getting smaller and the circle of friends is reducing because people are passing away.

I was in my early 50's when I attended my Aunt's funeral. Talking to a couple of my cousins, we came to the sobering realisation that we were now the oldest generation of our family.......

I'm 62, my mother-in-law is 92 and her sister is a year or two older. There is no one from the generation before me on my side of the family.

There were 60 people in my year at school and 4 of them are already dead (and those are just the ones who were on Facebook).

I remember when CD players were the new thing.

The ears are a give away. I've not worked out whether they are getting bigger or my head is getting smaller but either way, it's a sign of aging.
