As with bobzmyuncle, our family used to say the 'Flicks'.
Interesting that Americans refer to a cinema as a 'Movie Theatre'.

A friend of mine uses 'Right turn Clyde' when given driving directions. It is, of course, from those 80's movies with Clint Eastwood & the Orang-utang.

You're old if you think modern music is rubbish. You're still young at heart if you go back to the music of your youth, whether 80s, 90s or naughties, and realise just how bad some of it really was and think the modern stuff is often better!

Joe Dolce for example and the supposedly classic song of that era ultravox Vienna too! Jeez how weak was that? All images in the video but nothing much else to it! Even the likes of primal scream, Mondays, etc aren't great when you listen to it now.

Yes!!! Isn't it crazy to think that every music journo was praising him as the new god of rock-n-roll? Macca, Dylan, even Kate Bush said they found it hard to even try writing new stuff, when Dolce had already raised the bar so high!
