I watched an early 1970's episode of Softly Softly https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Softly,_Softly_(TV_series) the other night. They were after a 'hashish' dealer selling his wares from his car. They had the whole top brass after him, saying if we don't stop him, who knows where this will end! How right they were eh! 🙄 Imagine a detective chief inspector being involved in someone selling cannabis from their car, these days!

You're getting old when the pub that had weekly performances of rock bands (inc. status quo etc) is now a Holiday Inn.

I went to see a Status Quo tribute band. They were all in their 60s or 70s. Then I realized the original Status Quo were as well.

When I started primary school, it was 30 years since the end of WW2.

When kids start primary school this year, it's 41 years since the Falklands.
