My chocolate brown tweed trousers arrived today. The 34 inch waist is slightly noticeable, but only slightly and they are the usual Cordings quality, packed/boxed well and professionally as usual delivered by DPD!

This is Atholl. The red one is closer to Stewart.

Oh right. Well, I'll take your word for it. Maybe you could write to Cordings and tell them.:okay: I showed a pic' of the red green and brown ones today and they said I'll look like 'Woody' out of The Bay City Rollers!

Nah, they can get it wrong if they want, but I'd have thought somewhere like Cordings would have got it right.

Dr Martens….I’m a size 8 usually, most army boots an 8…having never tried DM’s on should I go for my usual size…stories are conflicting.
In Clarkes I’m a 7.5.

Seeing this reminded me of the Billy Connolly story where someone sees a chap walking towards him wearing outrageously 'loud' trousers, and says:

"If I had a pair of trews like that I would nae f***ing wear 'em!"

Which begs the question, if you wouldn't f..k..g wear 'em, why would you buy/own them in the first place? 🤔

But not for me though. They aren't reduced in price enough and they only have 38 and 42 inch waist sizes left. :okay:

Why would anyone wear a tartan if it's not their clan's? Big faux pas there I reckon.

Maybe they'd wear another tartan because they aren't too keen on their own tartan and that's if they have one in the first place. If they don't like most folk, then any tartan they'd wear could be seen as 'not their clan's'.

Edit...I'm a former Blackburn Rovers fan, as in season ticket holder for many years and still look out for their results. Being a Blackburn Rovers fan means you dislike Burnley immensely. Yet one of my favourite colour combinations is dare I say it claret and blue which for anyone who doesn't know are Burnley's colours. I also wear tweed country clothing which is sometimes seen as hunting/shooting clothing, yet I'm 100 percent anti hunting/blood sports! Sometimes we wear clothes/items we like, even if we don't like the cause associated with those clothes, colours etc.

Being English I don't have a tartan, but my first/Christian name is also a surname that has a recognised tartan. I have that tartan in a wool scarf form, but the tartan is a bit bland (Green and grey with a bit of burnt orange). It's not an interesting tartan at all, but I thought I'd buy a bit of it due to the slight name connection.
