Yeah, but there's quite a few 'hair care' pieces in there and sadly I don't have any hair to care for! :okay:

Hasn't this turned out to be the thread that keeps on giving

A little win for my efforts today as I got to finally wear something I'd long-ago constructed..

Mate's wedding; casual job and hot so I went all in with the linen - baggy light beige linen Mantaray trousers (a bit over a tenner, new with tags, ebay), slim-fitting white linen Uniqlo shirt (about £35, new, Uniqlo) dark beige linen fine herringbone Massimo Dutti two-button, single-breasted jacket (£15, used, charity shop), beige/white/orange Vans suede skate / deck shoes (fap knows, had them for ages), Tortoishell Wayfairers (£3ish, Primani).

IMO a nice low-contrast monochrome effort that didn't overpower my light features.

Felt good, got comments, met someone I really liked and who apparently felt similar (but of course she was taken). Actually it felt like I got quite a lot of attention; which is highly unusual and a nice little boost since I've had my head up my arse again for the last week.

A bittersweet evening bit it was nice to feel some reward for making an effort

I've taken these from the retro clothing shop I work in to think about buying them. Do I need another pair of boots/shoes? No I definitely don't, but Bally boots are quite expensive, as these slightly similar ones show https://www.cettire.com/uk/products...207043/cmVhY3Rpb24vcHJvZHVjdDpiYUxtTGpLdDhndH and to turn down a pair of hardly worn ones for 30 quid is something I might regret.:okay:

One positive about the above is that they don't have those pull on loops at the back of the boot. I find them annoying as no matter how you try, your trouser leg will get held up by them, even if you try and tuck them in, as they just come out again!

What do you reckon about this hat for me? I think it could be a little bit costume more than style. Also maybe more feminine than masculine? 🤔

I think the light grey one is a better option. 🤔

I see my buddy @FishFright has given the hat, or hats his approval. :okay: May I ask @FishFright which one you like, or is it both of them? 🤔

Boaters are very uncomy i find. Panamas aren't the most comfy things to wear as they aren't soft lined. Boaters are so stiff and seem to balance on the head, rather than fit the head.

i quite fancy a boater to go with a linen suit at a summer wedding kind of look, but was also worried about the fixed shape. And maybe my wife disowning me for looking like a twat. She's already kyboshed me wearing my pith helmet in her company for some reason
