Acetone = propanone (C3)

MEK = butanone (C4)

You can put the position of the carbonyl in if you like and call them propan-2-one and butan-2-one but it's kind of redundant as there's nowhere else to put it. A carbonyl in the 1 position is an aldehyde.

Ah yes, can't be a 1 can it, and as you say, the 2 is redundant

I hope it got a weeks pay for every year it was employed.

That's two different things, liking puppies, and liking Blowing up puppies!
But it's also off topic,we are discussing Accys dress sense ,style and ethical conduct.
I wouldn't go blowing up Accy either, .......unless his taken to wearing a kilt, which I assume he wouldn't.

On the basis of whether one wears or doesn't wear under a kilt.

I have this 'image' of Accy as a bit part actor, playing one of the 'Devils in Skirts' ,in 'Carry on up the Khyber'.
Unca Drags ,as the big Burpa ,as portrayed by Peter Butterworth .......... Drat, I've gone and taken this topic of course!

Ahem, Bernard Breslaw was the big Burpa wasn't he?

I think Breslaw played a Cyberman at least once too. And wasn't he a proper Shakespearean actor as well

I'm now thinking of buying the below pairs of tweed trousers, instead of the above suit. 🤔 With Cordings current autumn trouser promotion ongoing I'll get both pairs for £322 which includes the £7 delivery fee. I did mention the Skipton tweed trousers the other month, comparing them to Rupert Bear trousers, but there's something about them that appeals to me! I would've liked the whole Skipton tweed suit, but unfortunately the jacket isn't available now in my 42L size, so with the trousers at least I'll have the Skipton tweed in one form. If I buy the trousers I might as well buy the trousers of the above suit as well, as the Cordings promotion means buy one pair of trousers, get another for half their price.

Another change of plan on the last change of plan! £579.85 including P&P, compared to the Cordings Sporting Check Tweed suit costing £937 including P&P.

Cordings are slightly nobbing me off as I can't log into my account with them. I could check out as a guest, but I like all my purchases from Cordings to be logged into my account, which checking out a guest doesn't allow you to do. Also, I'm not after some grovelling here, but with me having spent almost £5,000 on Cordings clothing over the last 2 years without quibbling or sending anything back, I wouldn't mind a "thank you" every now and then! 🧐 I might buy one of the above House of Bruar suits and see how t fits etc. If I don't like it I can send it back, unlike you can with Cordings, or at least their trousers as when buying Cordings trousers you can only return them if you haven't asked them to turn the trousers up to a certain length.
