I went into Elan Boutique in Clitheroe today to see and have a chat with the owner and staff. The owner told me things aren't too good at the moment, due to big roadworks to partly pedestrianise the high street and the economic situation. So I thought I'd do my bit to keep the shop open by buying these shoes. Yes, they're not Goodyear Welted and all that, but I liked them as soon as I saw them. I'm light on my feet, so they should last and by the time the sole wears down I'll be bored with them anyway. I've never owned a pair of purple shoes before, so why not!!
