Lpool and Everton stadiums are less than one mile apart.

I know, as I walked through Stanley Park in January 1979 to watch Blackburn play Liverpool in a 3rd round FA Cup match. :okay:

Not as close as the two Dundee clubs though. How crazy is that, with them being just a few yards apart! If I remember rightly the two Nottingham clubs face each other across the Trent river. 🤔

Correct and confusing Notts County play on the north bank which is in the City whilst Forest play on the south bank which is in the County but call their ground the City Ground. Notts previously played at Trent Bridge cricket ground which is in the County.

I didn't know that. Thanks.
I've been to most top flight grounds in England and The City Ground is a really nice one.

I listened to the match on Radio Lancashire. It was a bit nervy at the end due to PNE's late goal, but I'm glad Rovers won! I have visions of Rovers and Burnley either meeting in the first round of the play offs, if the Dingles just miss out on a top 3 place and Rovers just scrape into the play offs, or they meet in the final via a different route. That would be some match, wouldn't you say?!

From what I've seen the top two will be from Leeds, Sheff Utd and Sunderland. There's a strong chance Rovers will meet Burnley in the play offs.

PNE are better than I expected and I didn't feel comfortable till we went 2 - 0 up. I did worry if we conceded one a second might have gone in. If there had been 10 minutes added time instead of 6 PNE might well have equalised. There were a lot of delays in the second half, ten minutes added time wouldn't have surprised me.

After today's results Friday has become a very big win. Now we MUST beat QPR on Tuesday to cement the hard work.

0-0 against Burnley seems like practically a win after Fortress Fratton got breached by Millwall. But three clear of the drop zone, which is good.

Does anyone in Birmingham support the team named after the city? Obviously some do, but Birmingham City have always lived in the shadow of Aston Villa as far as I can remember. How far are the teams apart as in miles? Does the loyalty of both sets of fans depend on where they live in the city and surrounding areas more than the historical success of both clubs? I suppose this question applies to all fans of city teams such as those in Sheffield, Manchester, Bristol, etc.
Regarding Manchester- the Mickey Mouse University (otherwise known as the Manchester Metropolitan University and might have a new name now) produced a ‘paper’ basically showing where the season ticket holder’s of City and United lived. The map they produced shows there isn’t a north/south or east/west divide but rather pockets of support for each team spread hither and thither, almost randomly, throughout the city.

At the time of the report, based on season ticket holders, 51% are red and 49% blue but, these days that may sway the other way as City are in the ascendant again.

Another three goals today for Chris Wood! How many is that this season I wonder? Surely striker if not player of the season, so far!

I think 17, there are several players above him, I think its topped by Salah on 21 then Isak and inevitably Haarland.
Player / striker of the year...not so sure, he's in the form of his life but when you look at the longer term stats (multiple seasons) , there are better players with long term consistency.
Now manager of the year...Slot probably/ inevitably, but Nuno could edge it for the absolute blinder of a season so far against all the odds, almost fairy tale like.
