I heard him say "Up the Brum" on a video I saw a few years ago. I reckon he's been that spaced out for years, he probably 'supports' all the west midlands clubs.

As Ian said, he doesn't give a toss about football.

After yesterday's results I think we can safely say nine teams will fancy their chances of grabbing 5th or 6th spot in the Championship. QPR will be looking to make it 10 clubs in with a shout by beating Rovers on Tuesday night. The weekend results couldn't have been better for us. Now we have to cement that by at least avoiding defeat at Loftus Road, hopefully by winning.

I think the top four are nailed on now, barring a dramatic collapse, it's a question of who gets 1st and 2nd. My money is on Leeds, Sunderland or Sheffield United.

We're away to the Baggies in ten days. I think I might try for a ticket.

It's a funny old game.
Spurs seem to be on the 'up' and win 2 nil away to Brentford.
Utd lose 2 nil at home to Palace (as a Lpool fan that upset me  )

I think 17, there are several players above him, I think its topped by Salah on 21 then Isak and inevitably Haarland.
Player / striker of the year...not so sure, he's in the form of his life but when you look at the longer term stats (multiple seasons) , there are better players with long term consistency.
Now manager of the year...Slot probably/ inevitably, but Nuno could edge it for the absolute blinder of a season so far against all the odds, almost fairy tale like.

'Only' Nottingham Forest's player of the season then! :okay:

This may be surprising, but the multiple season stats have no relevance when determining player of the year (which normally means season, rather than calendar year in this context)

It's also a bit harsh on Wood to say he hasn't been consistent as I think he has been since his Leeds days. Things didn't quite work out at Newcastle for him, though he still played very well he just didn't fit Howe's style so didn't have as many opportunities.

Another result in the Championship went our way last night. Rovers are at QPR tonight, then we don't play in the league till we go to The Hawthorns on the 12th. A win tonight is crucial, it cements a weekend of "good" results for us, would put us on 48 points meaning we will still be 5th when we play WBA. This could be great for morale.

There are many crucial Championship fixtures in the next two weeks. It could be a big shake out or remain as tight as ever.

Yeah true. Even if it doesn't influence anyone's thoughts, Woods isn't THE best out there, it cannot be denied. He's having a blinder, as a Forest fan, he's the best thing that's happened for them for many a season. One thing in his favour, he's come good and ignited a magical season for a formerly struggling side in the PL. That may influence decisions as well.

My son and myself were discussing this point generally, it fits Woodys, and Elanga's for that matter, season as well. Having a good season depends on so many factors, for the club and individuals. Team mates, tactics, personalities etc etc all dictate the outcome. Exactly why a manager may take a punt on a player that struggled elsewhere.

Do any of you buy food at football matches? I ask as a friend of mine went to watch Accy Stanley play Port Vale last Saturday. She told me she paid a massive 6 quid for a hot dog! She said it was just a thin sausage on a finger tea cake. Yes, I know that's how hot dogs are supposed to be but she also said the seller had run out of fried onions and all the condiment bottles were empty! Six quid when you can buy 6 'smart price' tinned hot dogs for 70p and a packet of 10 finger tea cakes for about a quid in supermarkets!
