Must admit I find it amusing that despite getting horsed, England still didn't do enough to qualify for the Olympics

That was agonising, I was following it last night - they got to 5-0 just into 2nd half when Netherlands were only 1 up, then NL wnet 2-0 but England still had a goal cushion, then NL scored and England scored almost immediately so it was 6-0 3-0 and then blummin NL scored just after the final whistle had gone in Glasgow. :cry:

To be fair England really blew it in tha last match against NL when they went 2-0 down, and although won 3-2 it was then out of their hands so to speak as they needed to win by 2 goals. but they will rue the 2nd half last night where they dominated but didn't score between 49th minute and injury time.

To be honest Andy it is the best thing in the long run. Each and every time there is a Team GB at the Olympics it threatens the individual four nations we currently have. There are already many in world football who question why we have four teams and would like us as one.

Personally, I certainly couldn't get excited watching team GB, just doesn't have the same pull as watching Wales for me, England, Scotland, Northern Ireland for other people.

Losing to Belgium is what knackered England I reckon, put a whole lot more pressure on themselves.

Abysmal performance from Scotland last night and for me the blame lies with the manager who is trying to get the team playing like Spain without them having the ability to do so, constantly losing possession when trying to playing out from the back and putting the team under pressure. Huge gulf in ability between the two teams last night but Scotland should not be getting beat 6-0 by any team.

Great inconsistency by the FA;
1st round FA cup Barnsley fielded an ineligible player and got kicked out with Horsham going through to the 2nd round.
2nd round FA cup Forest Green fielded an ineligible player against Scarborough and the game is to be replayed

That's because the southern bastards hate northerners....

Apparently 2 different types of offences

Barnsley fielded a returning loan player in the replay who wasn't eligible for the original tie (as was on loan at York then)

FGR fielded a goalkeeper who is on an emergency loan there (as has been there a while playing in the league games) but the hadn't formally cleared "cup-tie-ing" him with the parent club (Bristol Rovers)

Although whether that justifies 2 different punishments is still open to question.

For me, I think its actually worse than that and just blaming the manager to be a bit simplistic. I thought Scotland looked like rabbits in the headlights and they were really amateur looking with their positioning in the midfield and some of their decision making was woeful. The players must take their share of responsible for that but you are absolutely spot on with your last point.

I was just going to comment come on Pool.My second team after Leeds even though they beat us in 1965.Then a faint tackle and off goes a Palace player,Salah shoots it hits a Palace bum deflection and a goal.Lucky Pool.Ten mins left and they decide to play,Klopp this will not do.

My word two silly cards and off. What a superb second goal and a very very late goalkeeping save, but he did look slightly offside.I bet Roy H is cheesed off,Palace had them.

Yeah, don't think either of those deserved a booking. He didn't block the quick free kick, he dodged it when the ;player took the kick.

And there were at least half a dozen worse fouls than his 2nd booking that didn't get one.
