Germany, Hungary and Switzerland for Scotland in the Euros. Ouch.

Doesn't cheer me up much after watching Killie lose to a very poor Hearts side at Rugby Park.

I'm missing a punchline here I think?

In reference to your statement we have a tough draw.

If your going to be a bear, be a grizzly. In other words, no point in going over there if you are worried about meeting the Germans. Let em av it. :okay:

Ah! Gotcha, ta!

It would be peak Scotland to beat Germany and then make a total hash of things in games we'd hope to get something from.

Supporting Scotland definitely highlights the scar tissue we pick up over the years.

I fancy a wee cycling tour during that period. Not even bothered about tickets, would just be great to be part of it again after our hiatus.

Considering the same myself! There's no chance of getting tickets I reckon but the fan zone things should be a hoot.

On current form, Germany is the easiest game and Scotland should be favourites!

Aye, me too. My first World Cup I remember was 74 when I was 8. Beforehand there was an album of supporter's songs released with such belters as "Yabadaba doo, we support the boys in blue and it's easy, easy". For months after I thought Bremner's first name was f*****g.

78 came along, panini sticker books and we had a genuinely good team. Dalglish, Jordan, Souness - we could all name the first team from memory and we did. Peru were old men, Iran were diddies and Holland might give us a game but we should beat them.

After the first game me and my mates were just stunned, furious at Rough with his stupid perm letting in stupid free kicks from a pensioner - twice! Iran was just anger and frustration then the ultimate in Scottish footballishness came against the Dutch. At 3-1 you started to believe again. It's the last match I remember my dad ever watching, I think it broke his heart.

Afterwards came Stein and Roxburgh and a line of coaches who promised little and acheved the same. Trainspotting got it right -
