I've long given up on watching the big money games that most of my friends talk about outside their own club as it just bores me now. I have always loved watching my own team, but I rarely bother even noticing the opposition as for me, its all about what my team do.

That said, anyone with a hankering for blood and guts football, could do worse than tune in to BBC Alba for Friday night football as I reckon Friday past served up the game of the season so far with Dundee United taking an early 2 goal lead before eventually losing 4 fantastic goals to Falkirk, with the distinct possibility of losing a few more.

Despite what looked to me like a less than half full stadium, the atmosphere was rocking as some over excited fans got to celebrate alongside even more overly excited players by the touchline. Not even a mention of it or a yellow card for the brilliant celebrations. Marvellous stuff.

Yep well done Accy, your lot did my lot a favour.
12 league wins out of 12, equalling the league 2 record set by the mighty Luton town over 20 years ago.
Weird that the two 'Hatters' share the record.
Onto Newport next week to hopefully make it lucky 13 ^_^

I hear you. I'm torn, comprimised even. I don't even like the style of football that my lot currently play. I genuinely prefer the blood and thunder, all energy game. I prefer the game played by some other teams, teams I'm not 'supposed' to like even.

Suffice it to say that having played the game, I have other views and considerations, different ones. Some not met by simply following a team. Such is the complex nature of supporting a club I suppose. To want the success yet somehow not, not in certain terms anyway.

Love the games on Alba, especially the Gaelic commentary and the daft stuff they often do during half time. A few years ago they had our captain at the time, Pasca, showing us how to make a pizza. Glorious.

I've never seen the cooking instructions but I can't help but laugh the way they swing between Gaelic and English.

Exactly.

Youtube is another great source of old games when you could still actually tackle someone.

Also, its quite liberating just watching 2 evenly matched sides trading blows like a pair of heavyweight boxers without really caring who comes out on top.

I saw that game, as I'm currently in Scotland staying with my daughter (grandson's 11th birthday today), and her husband is a long term Falkirk supporter so had it on live.

Aye. Similar to watching rugby on S4C when they just don't have a Welsh word for something. I don't know why it amuses me so much but there we go.

And the football on S4C

It was one of the good nights at the Bairnebau, the South Stand was rocking. Beating the team at the top of the league above us who were undefeated and had only conceded 6 goals all season.

Mrs CK is going to go ,I'm in full man flu mode so not up to sitting in a cold stadium .

I'll watch on the FA player website. Get Mrs and mini to hold up a 'Hello yello' sign.... it'll make my day and confuse everyone else!

Rest up and get well soon. Man flu or no, it's wise to be cautious imho.

They really could have conceded 6 goals in the second half alone.

Looked like a cracking atmosphere, which is what I really love about the game.
