well another ball in or out goal disallowed, womens football.VAR in mens football being called into question by pundits who laughingly while playing surrounded and got into the faces of officials. So VAR was called in to stop it.Well a simple solution now to the ball being dead, only the green bit is the pitch. markings are out of play, that will shut them all up.

It wouldn't make the slightest difference to debate. Currently it is whether any of the trailing edge of the ball is over the white stuff. Your suggestion would just change the debate to whether any of the leading edge was over the white stuff.

Scotland sign off their campaign with a cobbled together squad to hold on for an honorable draw against Norway last night.

Its a bit of a pity we didn't quite do enough to get in to pot 2 after our earlier exploits, but I think most will be satisfied just to be part of it come the summer.

Coming from behind twice and holding a lead until late on was pretty impressive. I genuinely can't remember the last time we managed something like that against decent opposition.

Genuinely hope you do well out there in Germany. Probably the last "proper one host country tournament" for a while.

We (Wales) look as if our run of qualifications is coming to an end (miracles and / or play offs not withstanding) so as my other half is Scottish will be cheering you on.

Germany is a great place to watch a football tournament.

There's no chance I'll be able to get tickets to a stadium, but I'm tempted to see if I can get a city break and enjoy a fan zone when the fixtures are announced. I really like Germany, been to a few cities as well as rural areas; I've heard good things about Dusseldorf.

Nice city, I used to visit for work. Small pleasant old town with a lot of modern buildings around it, Alt-bier bars galore and of course the Rhine runs through it.
My old boss was infamous for his comment on being shown the old town by our German host:
"The old town smaller than I thought it would be Udo"
"Yes Richard, unfortunately your RAF bombed quite a lot of it in the war, so its now the new town"

Anyone who says that Germans aren't funny is 100% mistaken.

In other funny football news, England have been absolutely hopeless against the powerhouses of Malta and North Macedonia. They may have been largely meaningless games, but still. I feel bad for Southgate to be honest, he's arguably the most successful manager England have had in recent times and he gets absolutely slated no matter what he does.

Yes, we've qualified, beat Italy home and away, secured a slot in the top seed pot, yet played gash against one very poor and one bang average team (missing their best player) in the last two games. Will all be forgotten come the summer, but it seems we have a poor game in us that surfaces every now and again, which is more worrying....

Germany, Hungary and Switzerland for Scotland in the Euros. Ouch.

Doesn't cheer me up much after watching Killie lose to a very poor Hearts side at Rugby Park.

Painful watch as usual. I can understand revealing every team even when theirs only one left to prove their was nothing funny going on. However when there is only one place left in the group fail to see the need to confirm it.
