I'm very disappointed, almost angry, with my newspaper today. The Guardian. The EFL kicks off today. There's a decent summary of the teams in Leagues 1 and 2 but not a mention of the Championship. Yes, there's a match report for last night's season opener but nothing else.
The paper has been running a countdown series on each club in the buildup to the PL season. I'm well used to the fact that most media believes only five clubs, at a stretch six, exist but to completely ignore the EFL Championship is downright ignorant.
Ah well at least we can look forward to a season of billionaire coverage and all the usual PL bollocks.
