Just listening to 'The Sunday Night Club' on Talk TV/Radio, where they're on the subject of dementia form heading footballs. There's the daughter of a well known 1970's player on as I post, who's father died from dementia, blamed on ball heading. Yes, it's sad this happens, but many folk die from injuries or illnesses brought on due to their line of work! My dad died from esophageal cancer due to breathing in MDF/Formica particles and diesel fumes during his 49 years as a coach/bus builder. His apprentice in the 1970's died the other month from the same cancer, though glue fumes were also blamed in his case as he also fitted/glued the rubber floors on buses. Footballers are not a special case! I wonder if some of this 'ball heading dementia' is all due to that or is some of it brought on my alcohol abuse? Many players are very well paid with maybe too much free time on their hands!
As I post they are now on about footballers gambling addiction.
