Nice to see Killie making waves with our Alexander Fleming inspired kit.

https://kilmarnockfc.co.uk/news/the-chemistry-of-our-away-kit/

Our goalie kit is inspired by rivers and tributaries around the region.

Hummel in general seem to be putting out some belters this year.

That is a cool away kit, I would get one - but the sight of a fat middle aged man in a football top can be rather off putting

How are we all feeling about our club's transfer dealings and preparations for August? My club, Blackburn Rovers, have so far had a very positive summer:
  • We've kept our manager, Jon Dahl Tomasson. I thought there was a strong possibility he would be poached
  • Only two players departed, which was expected, interestingly one, Bradley Dack, has yet to find a club. Moves for others resisted so far
  • Three positive new signings; Niall Ennis, Sondre Tronstad and Arnor Sigurdsson but its recognised we need more fire-power
  • The news coming out of Brockhall, training ground, is the players are developing the system JDT plays rather than learning it as was the case last season
  • Less positive? We have no money. Incoming players have to be frees or we sell first. I, along with others, hope Thomas Kaminski, first choice keeper, goes for the rumoured £4m. Second choice Aynsley Pears is a far better keeper and proved this last season

Chelsea - very positive.

A lot of dead wood cleared out, not managed to offload the incredibly bad buy called Lukaku but getting close.

Building a very young team that I won't recognise next season and I am quietly excited by the new 'project'.

An unusually quiet season ahead for the club as we have no Euro-footy to participate in.

Press & fans have been raving over our new retro kit (sans sponser!) but I think it is dull & boring.

Onwards & upwards, top 6 will do me for 23/24.

I wonder how long it'll be before there are routinely players bought for over £200m? Neymar pushed it close.

There must, Shirley, be someone out there who's working things out based on inflation rates, the likes of Maradona, Eusebio, Puskas, Garrincha, Pele, Greaves etc. I don't have the numerical skills to do it, but I'd sure be interested in seeing it.

Pele was never transferred. He played for Santos and retired. He then came out of retirement to piss around with NY Cosmos for a couple of years.
Eusebio only moved right at start of his Career. Puskas left Honved (or rather didnt return to Hungary) due to the revolution, so a lot of these greats never moved at the "height" of their value.

But yes its gone crazy down to TV money. Players also move more frequently these days, I think that's agents making it happen so they bleed more money out of the game.

My team Stockport have had a fairly low key few weeks, a couple of signings, then out of the blue they signed Nik Powell, the former Man Utd player who has been with Stoke in the championship the last few years.
If he has the desire and can keep injury free he should be too good for league 2... Could be the kind of signing to get us into the top 3..
