I see Liverpool are quite rightly complaining about infantile Chelsea fans chanting re Hillsborough, albeit is this the same Liverpool whose fans sang maybe still sing about the Munich air disaster when they play Man U?

he has a resting face like a smacked arse, but would be somewhat unfair to sack him. as their promotion squad was full of loanees, he was more or less starting from scratch, and yes they spent a lot but they needed to.

tough ask to stay up, they have a very tough run in and need at at least 9-10 points more, but he got them up there you sort of have to back him even if they go down, or become a Watford and change your manager twice a season.

Looking from the outside, he's done really well. I had little doubt he'd be able to perm a team out of all those new recruits last summer. I'm assuming most of them have relegation clauses in their contracts! Otherwise it's been a gamble. I really don't want to pick those that'll go down (and I say that as a Leicester fan) because it's so tight - what, 8 or 9 clubs in the mix? Leicester have amongst the easier run-ins but they're in shocking form.

Yes, Foxes have the worst form of all the relegation candidates.
I also worry that some of the 'big hitters' in the team have their minds elsewhere. I think Tielemanns to Arsenal is a 'done deal' (currently injured) Maddison and Rogers were 'thick as thieves' and I think Maddison will be away in the summer now that Rogers has gone.
Wouldn't be surprised to see Barnes get his head turned either.
A few wins and retained Premier status could hange things of course.

Frank Lampard: Chelsea set to name ex-manager as boss until end of the season

No wonder he's smiling! He's not Premier League manager material, yet one club that sacked him are now re-employing him!!

If Lampard is not Premier League material because he has been sacked by Chelsea and Everton that suggests there are an awful lot of others who are " " not Premier League material " Chelsea's next manager will be there 10th in 10 years. Everton meanwhile are on their 12th in the last 10 years. 😀

A hammering for the hammers, and for all Newcastle looked good, West Ham were architects of their own demise.

Wish I'd watched that, but when you're watching football with a Man Utd fan who owns the Fire stick, you don't have much say in the matter. Still, she's pleased they won so that's all that matters, even if it was a fairly dreary game.
