Just out of interest at whose behest is that, the clubs, the SFA or the Police?

Apparently, an agreement was reached by all parties. Obviously that's code for Police getting their way and nobody having to carry the can for it.

That said, what a pain in the erse it must be having to deal with the same wee halfwit every other Saturday.

I'm not a rugby fan myself but my wife watches the six nations, and I know it is done for TV but I find the last day in that competition unfair as whoever plays last know what they have to do.
Not really the same in Rugby, you get very few draws, and with no promotion/relegation, you couldn't really get a situation where both teams would be happy with a draw anyhow.

The only way it might affect things is if a team playing later knows they need a bonus point win, they may go more all out to score tries than if they just needed a win.

Can losing be positive? On balance I think so. It's been a good weekend. 6000 Rovers had a great day out in Sheffield, we played very well on TV in a match which was an excellent advert for Championship football. EFL results went in our favour and we picked up no injuries. We've dodged the bullet of City at Wembley. I had a nervous and exciting 90 minutes watching telly.

I would have travelled to Wembley knowing my team would be lambs to the slaughter. Not ideal but we would have gone regardless.

Rovers are out of the cup but we're in great form and have nine games left to secure our playoff spot. Then the very big games start. Our next two games, Birmingham (A), Norwich (H) are huge. Six points there and Sheff Utd beating Norwich would be wonderful.

Yep, overall losing can be positive.

Indeed it was a good game, I thought you were going to hold on, but a strong last 10-15 mins by SU and a cracking finish for the winner.

I think you'll be good for the playoffs, but I'd rather see Norwich win or draw vs SU. :okay:

Burnley at home on Good Friday is our next "big one" after a potiontial banana skin away to Huddersfield.

Gah what is it with teams sacking or replacing their manager just before they play the Gunners
(Viera sacked by Pakace)

Not a problem it transpired

Thank you. I think so as well, both head and heart. We have Millwall, Norwich, Luton and Coventry to play, creating a gap is very much in our hands. My feeling is Burnley for Champions, SU or Boro for second place with 4/5 from Boro, SU, Rovers, Luton, Millwall in the playoffs.

Looking at the fixtures there are a lot of similar games. We have Huddersfield (A) on Easter Monday and Burnley at Ewood two weeks later.

On the basis that there is always a twist or two, I reckon West Brom., Norwich or Coventry might crash the play off party, probably / hopefully at the expense of Millwall.

there's a real top-bottom split in the Prem and 4 points between 9 teams at the bottom? don't remember seeing it like that as usually one or two clubs well adrift by this point ... there must be a load of 'six-pointers' still to play then, Just looking at Southampton - WH, Palace, Bmth and Forest coming up.
