What this confirms is TV football coverage is little more than a vehicle for ex pros to waffle on about the game in an increasingly unintelligible manner. Says much about the modern game. 25% football, 75% flannel and waffle.

Hmmmmm........🤔 After a Rovers game the lads and I analyse the match. It usually goes like this:

• We were good today. Did you see xyz pass? Brilliant
• Geez we we're shite. Why do we bother? What do they do all week?

I haven't watched MOTD for donkeys years but I do always record the Football League highlights programme.

I record it so I can skip the nonsense and just watch the action. On average the programme is two hours and five minutes, the football content is barely thirty minutes!!

Not watched it for years.Too much talking.Then to compound it,women from a time when womens football was comedic.Its only just got better.Do not miss it and will not go back,You Tube for the goals only about two hours after the game ended,totally brilliant.

We've had ANOTHER player sent off after 10 minutes. It's every other game now where we get someone sent off! After many years of loyal service maybe it's time for a different manager? 🤔 Yes, the players are getting themselves sent off not the manager, but he doesn't seem to be able to install on field discipline these days.

Sums up my view of tonight's games. I must admit to being nervous about this one. Sunderland will have an eye on 6th spot, at least, so I'm hoping for a draw in that one.
