Sorry to go back to an old debate but i've only just managed to catch up with the manchester derby.
What was ever wrong with the old offside rule?It was simple, if you were the attacking team and your player/players were in front of the opposition last player you was offside.
All this interfering with or not interfering with play malarkey is such a grey area it's got ridiculous.
#If it aint broke don't fix it.

agree..... salah was given offside last night and gakpo, the moment they moved toward the ball, both players hadn't touched it before the whistle went

one rule for one, one rule for another

Sadly, VAR, often gets blamed when difficult decisions are made.

The reality is is that it is the rules that are at fault.

The offside rule has become way too complicated and really needs simplifying.

Cut the active nonsense - if a player is offside then he is offside no matter what they are doing.

Rovers are now at home to Birmingham in the fourth round, a match we should be looking to win. JDT will almost certainly put out a much changed side which I'm interested to see as I haven't watched this alternative, I won't use reserve or second, team he uses.

The club need to price tickets to match the "attractiveness" of this fixture. Blackburn population is 115,000, 142,000 including Darwen, and has never been a wealthy area. Price this at £30 and the gate will probably be 6/7,000 plus Birmingham City support. Go for £10 and there's a decent chance of 15-16,000 including BIG club fans.

Any of our Scottish contributors any comments about Ryan Porteous, Hibs, as we're in for him.
Porteous is a good player in quite an underperforming team this year. He will certainly strengthen your defence and a move might be just what he needs after being in court last summer for assaulting a female. A bit of a hothead, as he has served a number of suspensions in his time, but I may be biased as I do remember 1 red card in particular against my team.

Take the 3 points and get yourselves up the road for Rangers tonight. Still not firing on all cylinders yet and we are now just going round in circles repeating the same mistakes week after week. Really need to see some new faces in there as soon as possible.

Morelos and Kent make the difference for Rangers.

Beale moaning about our pitch was funny. Never seems to get mentioned about Hamilton.
