It's an original fake.
Looks like the neck on my new Squire Jaguar bass might be warped. I shall see if I can use it but may have to get a replacement.
So, do I get a genuine Fender neck or a Northwest own import brand? Bit of a price difference.

Thanks for tip @MontyVeda . It's worked nicely.
Not sure what I'd be getting @DRM . This is the Debut:

It's a P unless they make a Jazz.
My Jaguar has 38mm jazz nut and a P has 42mm. That nut looks very narrow and could be 38mm, in which case it might do the job.
An entire new bass for the price of a neck hmm.
Then there's courier cost down here.
Warmoth do lots of bass necks but it looks as if they don't do the Jaguar one, unfortunately.I might not have the choice to buy a Fender original as retailers are banned from supplying their products to me here.
Warmouth don't appear to offer bass necks @rogerzilla
If anyone has a source for a supplier of necks I'd appreciate a link. I'm using Northwest Guitars at the mo.
I agree about Skaggs, likewise with the mandolin & guitar tooEarl Scruggs is really a master. I remember Ricky Scaggs, who is no mean banjo player, saying that after after listening to Earl he wanted to throw his banjo out the window.
Not too many banjo fans on here though.
