Just eating far too much roast dinner Bill, then I shall endeavour to try and match you on Stage 4! Don't like the sound of you actually 'trying' this time, I only just managed to stay ahead of you last time!

7 minutes 13 seconds?!?!? I couldn't do that if it was all downhill! Did you put a motorbike on your turbo trainer? Think I'll pace myself against a much more realistic Berty!

Haha. I did remove my mountain bike and put on my road bike. That's worth a few extra watts.

Next league we can all choose our favourite rides for each stage if you like. I found a ride the other week that near killed me so I gave it 5 stars.

I started doing this whole road riding malarkey as a way to try and get fit for 24 hr mountainbike racing. I only do the 24 hour race once or twice a year but these days on the roadbike most days at least on the bkool. The guys who win those 24 hour races do it by making good power on the uphill slogs. Downhill speed almost irrelevant.
As for triathlons I could never do them. I'm useless at running and swimming.

You gonna challenge me again for stage 4? Pushed it a bit harder up the hills to make it a little tougher for you:cycle:.
Thought I had you on the finish line Bill! It said 0:00 as we crossed the line, but it gave you an 8 second ahead win! I will be honest.... I thought I was going to puke! Those sudden inclines must have cost me about 8 sprocket teeth!

But I have just ordered a pair of S-Works cycling shoes...... so look out Bill.....
Even without your new shoes I can see I'm going to have to watch out for you. It's all good though:smile:.

wow those s works shoes are pricey. They'll be light as anything though.

I'll have to get into this challenge thing. I've not tried to challenge someone yet. Sounds like fun.
Know what you mean about the gear crunching. It's much worse than on the road. Yet another reason I like the long steady uphills. and my Mrs doesn't like me doing the downhlls as the whole house shakes.:hyper:

The challenges are WAY better on a 3D course. It really spurs you on! Your last run on that stage 4 pushed me to my limits. When we set up the league properly, we should just select 3D runs, then you can always put anyone who's completed the run on as a ghost. Makes a hell of a difference for me. I would NEVER have pushed myself like I did just now, had my competitive streak not been well and truly engaged. And yeah just won those S-Works on ebay now, brand new, this years model, £155. Bargain! Not sure it'll make me go any faster, but hopefully it'll cure my pins and needles at anything over 20 miles.

Oh and my wife is in complete agreement with you on the downhill thing. The old BKool fair sings at 40mph plus, doesn't she? That said, my insanely heavy and tortured breathing on the prolonged hill climbs are equally unattractive to any audience.

Agree with you there Add, love the 3d,

Sorry Bill, to much beer and food this weekend. Was hoping to get the rides in but felt like puking at the thought of climbing on the bike, i think you've cracked it thou at least we all understand it a little better now.

Does anyone know if the Garmin Ant+ HRM works just as well with the BKool, or am I safer to go with the BKool own brand? Wifey wants one to connect to her Garmin 910XT, which also needs to be ANT+ ...... whatever that is!?! Help would be appreciated, as I work on a building site, not at GCHQ!
