You're a fine one to talk Mr Glory Hunter!
I know! I'm probably the worst offender here and are a fully paid up (with premium membership) member of said club.

35 mins sounds about right for you these days so I think Adam's going to use that to work out your start time for the D'Huez handicap race he's organising.
Hopefully your rest week will pay off for the marathon and you'll be in the peak of fitness for the race.

I went to bed early last night having set bike on turbo, fan at ready, energy bar by the side, in the hope that i would get up bright and cheerful and have another go at 'Huez. Woke at 4, couldn't get back to sleep and so had to get up. No energy mind so left it. Very frustrating. Slow ride into work. Feel like its lunchtime already. Hope i can summon up the energy to have another go later. Moan moan moan!

I feel for you. Bkool and sleep don't go very well together.:tired: Up too late at night on the turbo and you can have full on 3D mode nightmares of the Chain Gang usual suspects, coming past you as you look down at your ever reducing power meter readout. The only thing worse than that is when it happens for real

Anyone got this (firmware?) update?

Very good question.

And No! I have not had the update. Not sure how I would get it anyway.

Newcomer to using BKool....only got it on Sunday and three sessions so far.

I'm 58, slightly over-weight though I still do a bit of cycling. Most of the year I'll do about three or four rides a week, around 25 miles or so each time and pretty flattish though I can do a few hills if I want. And I try not to push myself too much....conscious of my age, I suppose!

When I get back from one of my cycles I feel absolutely fine; not saying I could necessarily do another 25 straight off but feel generally good. However, I have to say that even on flat routes I'm finding this trainer a bit like wading through treacle. I imported one of the rides which I did from my Garmin and this particular one, only 23km, I can do without any difficulty but on the BKool it was absolute purgatory. Even going up the slightest incline I was having to drop down gears; nothing like the gears I use out on the road even though I was using the same bike.

Apart from going back to 1995 and shedding 20 years from my age (and probably 20 pounds from my weight!) does anyone have any thoughts? I'm just hoping that my expectancy in buying this, that it would replicate my experience out on the road and help me get fitter, was not misplaced!

Comical isnt it!?? Makes a mockery of them saying they dont fully support ANY other trainer. Apart from the lack of power uphills mine works perfectly on Bkool.

From Bkool support ...

Thanks for your message. Elite trainers have virtual speed (when speed reading is in blue). To be more precise, it is not the speed of the wheel, but it would be your speed if you were outside on the same slope, taking into account your weight and your bike's weight. This is usually shown downhill. You will realize the speed in blue does not match the speed of your rear wheel on the trainer.

Thanks to this virtual speed they will go faster at downhills.

Not the most helpful response I could have gotten ...

So far they have asked me to check my weight, told me ONLY Bkool Trainers do this, then that Elite trainers ALSO do it ... and that my request has therefore been solved.

I have tried again ... I just got a response in Spanish to say my problem is being managed.
