Legs were a bit tired on the second run, as i was pushing harder on the climb in sesh number 1, thats my excuse and i'm sticking to it lol. Just upgraded my subscription so i might take the ftp test tomorrow.

just installed the trainer tyre...first thing i noticed was a definate bump per revolution...there was a bulge over the valve so i deflated the tyre and untwisted the tube pumped it back up to 120psi no bulge and not as bad but still bumpy...so i dropped 5psi out seems happier there...

Today's ride. I usually do this session on my other turbo, but I thought I'd have a go on the Bkool. I chose a deliberately overlong ride, and stopped when I'd reached my target.
I liked it a lot. The mixture of flats and slight rises keeps it interesting, there is nothing steep enough to tire me and no downhills to force me to pedal like a maniac to try and get rid of the red numbers.

What is the deal with the red numbers?

On a down slope, the speed display on the screen shows a higher speed than you are actually doing (as shown on a bike computer). I think it's Bkool's attempt to simulate gravity giving you a helping hand.
When this happens, the speed on the screen turns red. If you pedal hard enough, you go faster than the calculated red speed and it goes back to black.

I had considered the tarmac but its a bit to aggressive for me...a mate of mine has one nice bike but a bit expensive for what it is...IMO

I did today's 2 x 20 on the Bkool to see how it went.
I wouldn't do a session like this on a course with a significant slope, but the flat rides don't seem to have gradients above 2% and even then they aren't very long. The power fluctuates more because of the changes in gradient, but it doesn't take long to get back on track. I got my averages, which is the main thing.
And it felt easier, which is certainly a reason to try it again. ^_^
