Regarding the kickr just got one and paired it with bkool...The resistance doesn't seem to be working if I'm honest...now using the wahoo app the resistance definitely works!...This is something that happened the first time I had a kickr and paired it with bkool...am I missing something?

What happens with the Bkool software?

I assume you have done a spindown calibration? What figure did you get from the spindown?

That's the results of the spin down...just tried it again with a non video session seems to be working...don't think I'll be re subscribing to bkool...The lag on videos and multi player sessions is unbearable tbh

If you change it between the start and end of a league, it just flags any sessions if the league was setup to check weight consistency.

Admin can just accept the sessions anyway, and when I mark the leagues to not check weight it throws out almost all sessions with an initial weight of "not checked" anyway (d'oh)!

Since it's so close to the current leagues closing, you could just change it after you do your last sessions.

Looks spot on ... this is my last one

No sure why lag is a problem, it works great for me. What are you running the simulator on? Does it have enough graphics power and network capacity to stream and render the videos/3D images?

When I tried it on an old laptop it was rubbish, and my iPad Air was really unreliable, but a modern Windows PC with a decent graphics card is sublime, even at 4K resolution (3840x2160).

Poor wireless could also cause a problem, as would too much distance between the ANT+ dongle and the trainer, should ideally be less than the length of a bike.

Could be the laptop right enough....It does exceed the minimum spec required for bkool...but think it's struggling with the more graphic intensive sessions a bit...I do run wifi but have a very stable connection stream Netflix in hd with no issues...but I have toyed with idea of getting a pair of dlans

Clearly youre the man to ask... im crap at computer hardware side of things, we have an imac at home and i have a cheap toshiba notebook for fitness and travel use.

With my pending new build pain cave coming up when we move ooop north, what would you recommend to use soley for bkool, TR, Zwift aka man cave use. i have monitors, TVs etc so i was thinking about a desktop unit?

Makes you laugh really doing that course in real life would be lumpy even though they have it as EASY but looking at the gradients to what we do on the turbo the profile looks easy

Mark, it looks like the GPX I uploaded for the "Easy" Jurassic Classic was the official 2013 one, which had the gradients all completely screwed up.

When we actually did the course, we very quickly hit 10%+ gradients and my daughter didn't half moan. I'm still not forgiven 18 months later.

On RidewithGPS our actual ride shows maximum gradient 11.9% (just outside Newton Poppleford) and the climb up Castle Lane is quite long and also exceeds 10%, so in reality it is much harder.

So the uploaded and 3D rendered one has a built in slope reduction of around 50% and with a max of just under 6% is ideal for all trainers.

How do people feel about a 2 hour run to start the March Chain Gang League?

I think it could be good to have a long run once in a while, to favour those with endurance over power?

We could always put in a minimum time and I could adjust appropriately for anyone who can't afford the time to do it fully?

Oh go on then! If we really must!!! Don't know where I'm going to find the motivation to do that
