Got a spare one already  Bought 2 for the wife but she only uses one .... may have a play with the other one tomorrow
Here's me, Friday night, saying I might have a play with the remote on Saturday. Which I do then told everyone that's what I did first thing Sunday morning.

Whether you believe this is a one off test or not makes no difference to me. I've worked hard to get fit and will continue to do so and enjoy racing in the leagues. We're not pros, we do it for fun, and that's why I accept others cheat but I can't control what others do so I don't get upset.

Its just a means to get fit :heat:

If I was really cheating do you think I would have admitted it the next day on an open forum? If I really wanted to cheat I would have kept schtum and used it again and again in the leagues and no one would be the wiser (well, apart from those who I ride with at the IoW when I'm suddenly nowhere near as good as I am on BKool ^_^

Nobody expects you or anyone else to be as fast out in the real world, as we presumably are on the BKool.

It's also very unfair to tar anyone else on here as a cheat just because I did this. It was my choice to do this (my wife did warn me that someone on here would take it badly ... must learn to listen to my wife more in future!) and no one else was involved. I also did say on Friday on here that I was going to try it, so it's not like I was hiding the fact either before or after.

Well, had you made a comment on your Recent activity page or in the forum yesterday, I wouldn't be fooled into to thinking you actually did the race fair and square.

I could also sense @Brusgaard that you was upset Thursday with Bill and I riding together. Seems we shouldn't do re-runs with ghosts, shouldn't ride together on live races .... is there anything we are allowed to do? On live race days many people ride together and draft, some by accident, some intentionally. Surely no different from a ride in the real world?!?

Again, we did discuss about you pulling back that one minute, and then Bill helped you do just that, instead of a fair and square race, where he would finish minutes ahead the both of us. Is it cheating, no, but not entirely fair either. In the real races I don't deliberately wait for anyone to help them, just as I don't stay with the pack if I feel I can outrun them. My videos will show just that.

Finally, can I say that most of us here take advantage of a BKool 'cheat' every time we race. We power off the line and gain a massive advantage over those that don't realise you can do that little trick. Should we all not 'cheat' now like this and just ease gently off the line like we do in the real world, or should we just carry on in our manic, enjoyable, suicidally knackering way and just enjoy the races in BKool for what they are - a bit of competitive fun.

I don't know what you mean by "power off the line". I just start pedalling like crazy in a high gear, for as long as I can. In the real world the result would be the same, me going ahead of everybody, and slowly being wheeled in as my power started to fade. That's not a cheat but just tactics. Sometimes it works, sometimes you pay the price 5-10 km down the line...

Well, letting someone else waggle your joystick and jingebells, can get you in all kinds of trouble 9 months down the line. You should be the first to know!
Damn that 'Jet Set Willy' game! A classic of the spectrum 48k era (I believe this may be before your time!) Not sure there was much waggling though...

Leisure suit Larry? That was a classic!

In the spirit of Aaac's post on past lives experience... I used to play a fair bit of cards. And one regular game in clerkenwell, London included Clive Sinclair (inventor of the spectrum computer) very anasuming, nice man. Not so good at the poker but hey...

Needless to say in poker there is one cheating rumour after another. It comes with the territory both online and in live games. In comparison a few dodgy spaniards and no money involved is quite bearable!

You gain a Dane, you loose a Dane.
It's all part of the sport.

That all said, and I don't often stoop to this level but I served in Northern Ireland, the Falklands, the Balkans Conflict and the first Gulf War, not to mention NATO peace keeping in Zimbawe/Rodeshia.

In comparison I don't really give a fig about an online bicycle race but I pobably enjoy it more than being shot at.

And well said Tommy, we really enjoyed coming last in the Nation's Cup last year and I still don't believe your watts up that last climb of the second race and mine in the final Velodrome session.
What was real though was Bridgy's live cramp and your mammoth effort in stage 1 to keep with me.
That one day loosing in BKool was worth a thousand of the others.
I also loved it a few weeks back when 4 of us absolutely steam trained a flat course like we were BMC

Yeah it's funny. That was a great day. We came rock bottom last but I'm not sure how much happier I'd of been if we'd of won. It's was just a great feeling with all the support from everyone. And Bridgy suffering so bad just showed how hard we were all pushing.
I like winning but I like losing too, just as much in a weird way. It makes me laugh giving people a bit of sh!t when I beat them. But equally it makes me laugh just as much when someone stuffs me and gives me a bit of sh!t back! I think Bob and me are the same like that. Who cares really! Just bury yourself. Know the other guys doing the same, and see where it lands. It's just a joke compared to real life.
I've always treated it like an arcade game in some ways. My all time favourite game is Street Fighter II. I was pretty tasty as a kid even if I say so myself...We used to head down to the trocadero in Piccadilly Circus from Peckham, to take on the Chinese kids. Lots of teenage pride at stake, and limited funds kept you on your A game! The threat of Triad violence also kept you on your toes, but that's a story for another day!...
Bkool is a bit like street fighter II. You have to fight your way through the ranks to get to the end bosses. You'd be 'M Bison' for the record AAAC. Like you he's ex military although his past is somewhat more murky! I guess that makes Bridgy 'Sagat', Bill 'Vega' and DP would be 'Balrog'! Apologies if you don't know the rerefrences...It really is a classic game I promise. My point being that it's just a video game really. I want to beat the end bosses however unrealistic that is... Lose you just dust yourself off and come back the next day... We're all on a journey and it can only be positive right? We getting more and more healthy and having fun doing it! What are the odds?!

Wow  at some of the posts above!

It's sad and silly to actually cheat* at Bkool races. And it's also silly to get wound up by silly people who cheat at Bkool races (OBVIOUSLY @Whorty didn't "cheat", he did an experiment to show how cheating was possible and shared the results - which were actually quite interesting in that the cheating wasn't very obvious in the graphs at all)

*There's a difference between cheating and what I would call using good "racecraft" to maximise your performance - e.g effective use of drafting, learning how to maximise your speed on descents, getting a good start etc. Having said that, if anything like that gets a bit out of hand there's nothing stopping us agreeing between ourselves that certain things are considered "unfair" and as long as most people agree, banning it for our own league - like we did with using the "on/off" power riding technique for the whole ride (anyone not familiar with that - don't get any ideas!)

@TurboTommy I'm afraid I have no idea what you're going on about with regards Streetfighter, but on the basis I agree with most of the other stuff you've said on here I'm sure you're absolutely right!

I think we need to put an end to this saga once and for all.
Whorty has admitted to his heinous crime and we have heard all the evidence from the prosecution who obviously wants his blood but I do agree that justice is needed.

We need to administer the appropriate punishment and he needs to appear before the COURT OF TEAM CYCLECH-AT.

I've been thinking about the punishment that the court of Team Cyclechat could issue and these are my suggestions.

1: Hung drawn and quartered, may be a tad too severe and we need all the members we can get.
2: Deportation, maybe to Denmark but I fear the alcohol prices are too expensive and he would never survive.
3: A ban, just like Sharapova but I'm sure Zwift would welcome him to ride over to the dark side and we could loose him forever.
4: A big fine, I fear that if the fine is too big his newts would become homeless and besides he could never pay enough to fill theTeam Cyclechat alcohol fund.

No there is only one punishment that fits this crime and it's ......................
4: DEMOTION BACK TO TEAM BEIGE, having to ride with the likes of Jim, Wolfie, and myself would be just punishment enough and this would make him realise it's O.K to lose without cheating as we do it all the time.

Wonder what y'all will do to me when I take "ridiculous rides" to new heights?

Enough of all that cheat-talk.
Just got back from Berlin, and I'm not saying this just because I own a Canyon, but those germans really know how to make bikes:
